I come from very humble beginnings.
I have been raised by a hard-working father and a supportive mother. Both of them are farmers, and I have seen them work for endless hours in the fields. I completed my schooling from Sajjapuram, Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, and then went on to pursue BSc in Computer Science and thereafter MCA. Financial struggles have always been there, but my mother made sure that my studies were not compromised.
I was pursuing a course in Java to up-skill my knowledge when I got to know about the CyberShikshaa program. Being the curious person that I am, I thought I should explore the field of cyber security. It was a tough call for me to pursue Java and CyberSecurity at the same time, but I took it up as a challenge and went ahead, nonetheless.
In the first week of classes, I realized that it is a fantastic program. I got to learn about new technologies and also worked upon my problem-solving skills. The faculty was immensely supportive. Mr. Shankar and Mrs. Keerthi became my favourite instructors from the very first week.
I worked double hard to balance both the subjects. I was giving 6-7 hours in the daytime to CyberShikshaa and was dedicatedly revising my Java lessons for at least 3 hours at night.
In the end, I chose cyber security to be my choice of profession for the numerous opportunities it offers. When the time for placements came, I was anxious yet excited at the same time. I was so pumped-up to enter the professional domain!
When the interview results came, I got to know that I am selected for Lloyds Offshore Global Services Private Limited, and I have received the highest placement package in the history of CyberShikshaa.
I was over the moon upon learning this. My hard work has paid off, and I'm all geared up to begin my professional journey from here.
Right from my college days, I was always interested in studying a blend of cyber security, law, and policy; and this program was offering exactly that. I took a leap of faith and enrolled for the program, and it turned out to be a lifeline for me. Especially amidst the stressful chemotherapy sessions.
