Upcoming Events
Individuals, businesses and companies rely heavily on their computer systems. If the data on these computer systems is damaged, lost or stolen, it can lead to disaster. Data security is all about keeping data safe.
Ensuring data is kept safe from corruption and that access to it is suitably controlled helps to ensure privacy. The challenge in data privacy is to share data while protecting personally identifiable information.
This initiative of DSCI spans across the country, wherever IT/ITeS sectors form a significant part of the local economy and cover other components of the criminal justice system, i.e. the judiciary and the prosecutors.
IT (Amendment) Act 2008
The Bill to amend theIT Act, 2000 was passed in both houses of parliament in December, 2008.
